Mathews Abraham's background is distinctive, shaped by his experiences across five cultures and three languages in India, the Middle East, and the United States. This exposure to diverse cultural dynamics, particularly the divide between East and West, has influenced his worldview. With a B.S. in electrical engineering from N.I.T. in Kurukshetra, India, and two years studying physics at Kerala University, Mathews naturally developed an analytical mindset, often reflecting on worldviews and belief systems. His career began in manufacturing in India, later transitioning to the U.S. as a program manager in electronics. He earned an MBA from Indiana University South Bend, founded two software companies, and eventually became president of a successful company. Mathews professional journey also took him to a French company, where he noticed the differing worldviews between Europe and the U.S. and obtained certification as a lead auditor for ISO quality systems. Beyond his career, he pursued a variety of interests, including chess, martial arts, history, and the study of Eastern philosophies and religions, which eventually led him to teach the Bible and explore changes in worldviews related to technology and nation-states.
In 1977, a series of debates with Christians sparked a personal journey of understanding, particularly regarding the Jewish history and the Holocaust. This prompted his deep study of the Bible, Jewish history, and the Middle East, especially the miraculous events surrounding the 1948 Jewish remnants return and the Six-Day War in 1967. This study eventually led him to write several books, including Evil and Hitler, Terrorism, Evil and End of Nation-States, and Face Off, which explores the intersection of science, Christianity, and Islam. His most recent work, From Dry Bones to a Mighty Army, examines Israel's history and the roots of his own conversion to Christianity. Mathews is also a founding member of Living Epistle Fellowship in Mishawaka, IN, where he served in various leadership roles for over 24 years. In 2007, he founded Scrips of God of Abraham (S.G.A.) ministries to foster dialogue between Christians and Muslims in the West. Today, he collaborates with B. Kumar to mentor young professionals and develop a deeper understanding of the Kingdom of God. Mathews is happily married for 37 years, a proud father of two adult daughters, and a grandfather.
